01 / A reference, not an approval

The catalogue helps you discover documents and inspect collection gaps. Collection, extraction or indexing does not establish legal currency, applicability, completeness or accuracy. Some entries are discovery targets, historical editions, drafts or metadata only. A model bylaw is not necessarily adopted by your authority. A standard is not necessarily mandatory for your product or project.

Before relying on a provision, verify the competent authority, notified jurisdiction, operative document, amendments, commencement, exclusions, court orders, land status and project particulars. Check the original clause, table and source page. Maps are approximate navigation aids, not legal boundaries or surveys. Automated extraction may misread tables, cross-references, numbers and diagrams.

Nothing on this site provides a building permission, legal opinion, professional certification or project-specific advice. Visiting, searching, donating or contacting the project does not create an architect–client, lawyer–client or other professional engagement. Do not submit sensitive project information in public repositories.

Linked publications belong to their respective rightsholders. Public accessibility does not by itself grant permission to redistribute, modify or commercially reuse a document. Each document’s own terms and applicable law govern its use. We do not grant rights over third-party material, imply government endorsement or claim ownership of legislation or standards.

Full BIS and ISO standards are not provided by this catalogue. Obtain authorised publications from their publishers. Stored document assets will be made public only where a redistribution basis has been recorded. Our metadata, software and contributions are subject to any licence expressly supplied with that material; absence of a licence is not an unrestricted reuse grant.

The interface uses Manrope under the SIL Open Font License and adapted community map geometry under its supplied MIT licence. The relevant notices accompany the site. Third-party links are offered for reference; we do not control their availability, accuracy, security or policies.

Use the service lawfully. Do not impersonate authorities, upload malicious material, expose personal or confidential data, defeat access controls, or disrupt the service. Responsible use of the public catalogue and any expressly licensed API is welcome. Published rate limits and licences apply; they do not remove rights provided by law.

03 / Contributions, corrections & removal

Contribute source links, identifiers, edition details and a clear explanation where possible. Submit only information you are authorised to share. Do not upload confidential client material, personal identity documents or commercially restricted standards. A submission is not automatically accepted or published.

By submitting your own material for inclusion, you grant the project a non-exclusive permission to review, store, edit for clarity, attribute and publish that submitted material for the library’s purpose, subject to any restrictions agreed before publication. You retain ownership. This permission does not extend to third-party content you cannot license. We will seek a separate agreement before applying a broader open licence to substantial original contributions.

For a correction or removal request, identify the record or URL, the disputed material, your relationship to it, the reason, supporting evidence and a reply address. Share only evidence necessary to assess the request. We may temporarily restrict access during review, ask for clarification, correct metadata or remove material. We aim to acknowledge requests within seven working days once the contact channel is operational; resolution may require more time and is not guaranteed within that period.

We assess requests in good faith, including legitimate public-interest, legal and ownership considerations. Removal from this site cannot retract independent third-party copies. A minimal audit record may be retained where necessary for accountability or legal obligations. The contact form prepares a message locally; it does not submit a request until you send it through a configured contact channel.

04 / Voluntary support

Support is optional. It does not buy regulatory approval, professional advice, preferential legal treatment or guaranteed future features. A payment is not represented as a charitable or tax-deductible donation. No recurring payment is initiated by this site.

When enabled, payments take place on the configured payment provider’s page. Review the actual amount, recipient, currency and provider terms there before paying. The amount selected here is only a preference unless the linked checkout explicitly fixes it. We do not collect card, bank or UPI credentials.

Contact the project about duplicate, unauthorised or mistaken payments, providing a transaction reference without sensitive payment credentials. We will review refund requests reasonably with the payment provider. Nothing here excludes mandatory consumer rights, chargeback rights or remedies available under applicable law.

05 / Privacy, in plain language

The current frontend has no accounts, advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Fonts are served with the site. Search and filters run in your browser. The contribution form retains its input in the current page only; it prepares an email or a downloadable text file on your device. It does not currently send form data to our server. Closing or reloading the page clears unsaved input.

If you choose to send a message, your email provider and the recipient will receive the details you send. We use your name, reply address, source reference and message to assess and respond to that request. We do not use request details for marketing or publish your contact information as catalogue content without permission.

GitHub Pages records visitors’ IP addresses for security. Loading catalogue updates from GitHub and following source or payment links also involves those providers. Their policies govern their processing. See GitHub Pages data collection and GitHub’s privacy statement.

Our intended retention practice for received correspondence is to delete unnecessary personal details within 90 days after a request closes, unless a legal obligation, unresolved dispute or security need requires longer retention. Approved source metadata and a minimal decision history may remain. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of your correspondence, subject to applicable law and necessary identity verification.

Do not submit sensitive personal information or information about children. No public form upload or chat history storage is currently enabled. If server forms, R2 delivery, accounts or chat are introduced, this notice will be updated before the new processing starts, including purposes, service providers, retention and relevant choices.

06 / Future chat & machine access

Public chat and remote MCP access are planned, not promised or currently offered. Any machine-generated answer will require source verification and must not be treated as an authority’s decision. Future paid options, usage limits and additional terms will be shown before purchase. Optional support is not a prerequisite for browsing the current public catalogue.

07 / Availability & responsibility

We take reasonable care but do not promise uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors or fitness for a particular project. The service may change, be corrected or be withdrawn. Keep your own copies of permitted materials needed for professional records and verify them independently.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the project and its contributors are not liable for indirect or consequential losses resulting from reliance on this reference service, including design delays, lost opportunities or approval outcomes. This provision does not exclude liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or any duty, liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing transfers an approval authority’s or professional practitioner’s statutory responsibilities.

These terms are governed by Indian law, subject to mandatory protections and the jurisdiction of courts and forums that are competent under applicable law. We encourage good-faith contact to resolve problems, without restricting access to statutory remedies. No compulsory arbitration, exclusive distant forum or waiver of consumer remedies is imposed by these terms.

We may update these terms prospectively by publishing a dated version. Material changes to payment or personal-data practices will be explained before they apply. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining lawful provisions continue to apply. This text is a project policy, not a statement that every limitation will be enforceable in every case.

08 / Get in touch

Use the contribution or correction/removal form to prepare your request. If a recipient has not yet been configured, the form will clearly say so and allow you to save the message; it will not claim delivery. Do not post private complaints or personal documents in a public issue.
